Am I the only one who doesn’t give a shit about the Challenger Demon?
Random song for your time..

Absolutely not. TBH I don’t really give a shit about anything that costs over 50k, because I know I’ll never own it lol.

Yet you give enough shits to make a post...

You don’t ride a stallion until it’s broken in, right?

But I’m not a certified vet for stallions. Only small house pets :(

Plenty of small house pets; GTIs, GSRs, S2000, Miata (uhg), Civic Sis, M3s

Nope, I’m guessing there are lots of us who don’t care about it.

I’m much more excited about the trackhawk but I’m glad that the Demon exists.

But most of those weren’t over 50k new. And even the one’s that were, aren’t nearly as complicated as modern 50k+ cars.

Nope. Couldn’t care less. Too crossover, too large, too tall, too heavy, too ugly. There’s nothing to like, IMHO. Too much power to enjoy in a legal way anyway, unless all you care about is 0-60. Which I don’t.
It’s the epitome of fast car slow. Which equals BORING to me.
Edit : I wrote this about the Cherokee, but it mostly holds true for all the hellcat and demon and whatnot overpowered overweight vehicles.

I’m a fan of two- or three-trick ponies like most 2-seater sports cars, but I would never own a one-trick pony like this.

It’s neat and all, but it’s not an Italian, British or French car from pre-1990, or available for £300 on the used market so it’s pretty much outside of my main sphere of interest.

Everyone is entitled to opinions. I for instance find Skylines of all generations to be meh. They do nothing for me.

I care about MPG, handling, and having little enough power that I can drive at 9/10 on the street without attracting police attention.
The Hellcats/Trackhawk/Demon are optimized for straight-line, and they can get police attention at 2/10. And, 707 to 840 hp 6.2 liter supercharged V8? The fuel injection probably looks like this:

No.

I make the point that knowing traditional Chrysler quality (van transmissions reliably failing after 60K miles on a rebuild) adding more power will likely make it fail faster and more completely.
Also have you ever had the... Ahem... Pleasure of being an interlocutor with a Hellcat owner? Completely insufferable. Most of the time.

i couldn’t give a rats arse about it either
by the time it hits our shore in Oz and converted to RHD, the price will be so out of reach it isn’t funny.

Nope. I hate it. I think it’s a stupid car for stupid people like most Mopar creations that try to compensate for a refusal or inability to develop a platform by putting a bigger engine in.

I saw a Grand Cherokee SRT8 slay at a flooded autoX once! That was fun to watch!

I was at the Nurburgring 2.5 weeks ago (europpomeet) and there was a Ford Raptor that had just lapped the ‘Ring. Besides looking very out of place the smoke coming from the front brakes captured everyone’s attention.

You definitely aren’t.. as a vast majority of people have complained about the buildup of it.. I frankly do, because it’s one hell of a machine, that actually, despite all the marketing before it, actually made sense.
If I made something absolutely ridiculous like that, I would be tooting my own damn horn all day like Dodge was. It’s a beast.
